Woke up telling myself it was too cold to fish yesterday, but after a few hours of sitting around the house, found myself heading out. Plus i had a new jigging rod to try out.

Went to Birge Pond in Bristol. Got there about 1, fished to about 3:30, and probably caught 25 fish jigging. About a dozen perch, at least as many sunfish, and one small bass. Got a fish out of the first hole I cut as soon as the jig hit bottom.

There was about 4 1/2 to 5" of solid black ice on there. Just stay out of the corner by the damn as there's an incoming stream there - I stay away from that corner.

Also, a group of guys were there clearing snow off the ice so they can skate. Please dont cut holes in their skating rink there. Plus, the fish are all to the left of the area they cleared anyway Smile
