Bridgeport Police are not giving anyone access to Seaside and St Mary's.

Called the DEEP main office, DEEP Marine, and the local warden. Main office told me the only info they had was no shellfishing. Marine told me no commercial fishing. The first time I called the warden he told me no commercial fishing and don't keep any fish. Second time I called him was around 11:45am when he said the commissioner had just announced all types of fishing from Norwalk to Milford were banned.

Bridgeport Parks & Rec told me the police had the right to not let anybody into Seaside even if the DEEP said recreational fishing was allowed.

Recreational fishing along the Bridgeport shoreline from the Bpt/Ffld line to Pleasure Beach remains banned.

Shellfishing remains banned in all open waters from Fairfield to the Housy.

Recreational and commercial fishing is open in the open waters.

Oysters taken from a local bed are currently being tested in a lab in Wisconsin.

I'll have to make a call to the local warden to see what the update is and also call the city parks & rec to see if they're letting people into Seaside again.
