This video is pretty good too...it's a bit long but worth the wait.

I know that feeling. I did something simliar to that reported in one of my earlier post but rather that using wire cutters I used an Xacto knife only because I wanted to continue using that particular bait as I had no more of that color Very Happy .

Jim, I always keep a set split ring pliers in my plano box of cranks or topwater baits with extra trebbles and split rings just in case of an on -the -water human or plug/crank repair. I've clipped rocks with crankbaits before and lost 1 hook out of 3 on a trebble many times, and it just takes 2 minutes to slide on a new one. Very Happy

Knock on wood, never been hooked bad before in all my years of fishing. I'm sure I'm due, but so far nothing serious. Very Happy

Gary, yeah I keep those things in my big tackle boxes but I was going light in my Tracker Bantam fishing a private pond in Glastonbury. That was the day I caught 110 bass on that one lure and I didn't want to lose it. Finally lost it on the 111th strike! Very Happy
