So I regularly catch a couple bass in Wintergreen.

I have plans to fish tomorrow. My choice of location. Should I stick with Wintergreen (Close, Reliable...) or risk it and go to a new location (Miller's Pond in Durham) and see what happens.

We will be shore fishing with artificial bait only. Most likely senkos, maybe a spinnerbait or rapala minnow-rap. I'd like to go for bass.

Thoughts?

If you go to Millers, make sure you are using light line as the lake is crystal clear. The shoreline access is sparse, but there be some monsta's in there.

The water is definitely crystal clear in Miller's Pond, but all that I saw in it when I went there last Fall were tiny little yellow perch. I'm leaning toward fishing rivers right now.

jbrown - The water is getting colder. Try some slower and or subtler presentations. Throw some jigs maybe slow roll a spinnerbait. I went out on Friday evening and the spinnerbait bite was on then next day it was much cooler and I had a tough time finding the fish with anything. The one fish I did hit was flipping in the sticks but there was no pattern to that as I tried many other laydowns and didn't get anything. The guys I was with were hitting a few fish slowly retreiving rat-l-traps but that bite died too.

Good luck out there
