I was on bantam monday and had a good 4-5in of ice. I am willing to bet it is not safe right now after these past couple of days.

x182dan - South cove? How'd you do? Did you set traps or just jig?

I went for pike so I used my traps with various different setups. I had two runners that dropped the bait on me before I had a chance to set the hook. They took the bait into the weeds both times. My buddy got two pike around 28in each. The pike seemed to like the dead bait the best. This was the south cove. Lots of cracking expanding going on monday, the ice was making some cool noises.
