Gotta call from my buddy yesterday with an invite to fish for some schoolies at the river, so I loaded up the gear this morning and figured get the girlfriend out for some early season stripers, since she hasn't gotten a striper before. Well this was her better of the two

measured in at about 24 inches. she handled the 11ft tsunami surf rod like a champ! between all of us, we musta hit a dozen or so fish. my buddy joey was killin em, with one 26 inch fatty. can't wait for the big boys to start showin up!

i've heard of a few keepers caught. 28, 29, even 30 inchers but few and far between. couple of my buddies have hit em. but i'm more interested in the BIG boys. 20+ pounds and what not. it'll turn on soon enough.

Somewhere in the CT fishing guide it has the recommended consumption quantity out of the various state water bodies. The CT is fine to eat out of, just out to base your diet off Smile
