OK what does a school bus driver do on the first day of summer vacation? Of course he heads for the lake for a morning of fishing. Now what does he do (he should know better) when he arrives to the ramp and finds rather large whitecaps on the lake. A. oh what the heck I'll just go back home and clean the garage or B. say what the heck I'm here already. You guessed right I decided on b. I knew it was going to be tough when on my first cast my buzzbail got caught in the wind and ended up about 30 yards from where I wanted it to go. All in all got 2 SMB and the usual amount of rock bass; still no LMB. Oh yeah water temp was 67 degres. You might ask what could be the icing on the cake from this trip? TRY LOADING THE BOAT BACK ON THE TRAILER WITH A TERRIFIC CROSSWIND. All and all probably should of chosen plan A. cmorjoe

Joe, on days like that I would have stuck close to the shoreline and flip&pitched a jig rather than trying to defeat the wind by casting lures.
