Went to Wood Creek. Had about 10 flags in 3 hours, broke off 2, 4 or 5 runners, landed 3 including a humongous 18" largemouth that had 1 of my hooks in him, I forgot how to post pics in this cockamamie website?
But good to be on the ice again![/img]
Wood Creek Pond is in Norfolk. The elevation there is almost 1,400 feet above sea level.

It is in Norfolk. North of town on 272 and just shy of Mass border. I called all the bait shops in NW - this was the only one that had 3+". It is pretty high up and very shallow.I can't believe Waramaug is safe other than a cove. Winchester and Park Pond are the highest elevation in the state, and not very deep - so that's probably next.l

I think that Winchester Lake and Park Pond are at about 1,200 feet above sea level.

The GPS on my Jeep provides altitude information. I always keep an eye on it on my way up to Winchester Lake. It's amazing how much of a difference altitude makes on temperature.

Winchester and park should have promise for safe ice. When I checked them on 12/8 they were both locked up. But who knows what the snow over the last week has done.
