Hello All,
I'm looking for a used Stradic 1000, or 2500, one of the older white ones. If anyone has one please PM me. Thanks.

They are all over ebay. Some cheaper prices. Why is this such a popular reel?

^^Because it is awesome.

A friend of mine gave me a stradic 2500 last year. The reel cast better than any other spinning reel I have ever had. It has a good spool capacity so I can use it for LMB and blue/stripers. The drag is real smooth. Great anti reverse. I highly recommend the reel.

Like most shimano reels they are very good and very dependable!
For years, I rarely used spinning gear when all I had were cheaper reels. I was pretty much convinced that I just hated fishing with spinning tackle. Then one day, I picked up a used Stradic just because it was a very good price. The first day that I used it out on the water,..I came home and started shopping for a second one! Wink

I have a 2500, and a 4000 that used all year in the salt and they held up extremely well. All I did was hose them down after I got home and nothing else. I'm trying to set up a few other rigs with some stradics. I may look into a symetre for some freshwater only rods.
