Just hit Cabellas in East Hartford for the Grand opening. It is a cool store, so much to choose from. Now It is nice to have a real fishing store nearby. Now I don't have to rely on the limited supplies at dicks. Good stuff.

i like to have items in my hands before i make a purchase.Cabelas will finally allow that to happen.
I cant wait to head up there and motor my way through that store.
Dicks sucks to buy fishing gear. They only stock specific vendors because that is who there contracts are with.Same with Sports Authority

I'll still patronize Tournament Force as much as I can because of their expert advice,..but it is very nice to have a superstore in the neighborhood for those things that the smaller stores don't carry. Also I understand that there are often un-publicized close-out bargains to be had!! Very Happy

I was there for the special invite. Cuz my dad has a Cabelas credit card. I was packed to the rim. It was so hard not to buy anything. I went to go check out my Daiwa terria that im going to buy soon for my drop shot setup. I didnt want to buy it there cuz I work at Dicks Sporting Goods now. But my manager said that they made around 750,000 that day which is crazy.

I went saturday with the wife and kids. I pulled a muscle in my back lifting the little one on to the lowe 190 bass boat. Sad Its a regular thing, so im used to it. Just kills the next couple days activities.

Anyways, kids were bitching about being hungry so we went to go eat ....... at McDonals !!! Then i headed home !!

Was in the store for about 2 hours and didnt see all i wanted to. I was swearing up and down because i should have known better than to bring them with me !!

We went to BPS and cabelas in PA a couple years ago and i should have known !! It was a massive detour to the father inlaws for the weekend.

Anyways, just grabbed a few things i needed. Will spend more time when i go back for the grand openning in a couple weeks.... without THEM!!

I was a little disapointed with the place compared to the one in PA. The fish tank in this one in CT is tiny comparing as is the bargain cave.

I finally made it there yestarday,..I was actually kind of disappointed in the selection of stuff for bass fishing. It's a nice store and all,..and I'm still glad to have it,..but I was expecting a little more!

I hear you Mark and their prices can't compare to the prices you can find online.
