| I've fished there before there are some nice bass in there and a ton of other species as well. I think they even have pike. I know they stock trout and salmon, but i'm not sure how they holdover. It's a good sized lake but I would recommend going during the week as there is a ton of boat traffic on the weekends. |

Just in case the fishing is really tough or boat traffic chases you off the lake, I’d recommend checking out Little Pond/Schoolhouse Pond in Thompson. It’s right down the street, and there are some nice areas of lily pads at the south end of the pond near the boat launch. I haven’t explored the rest of the lake yet, but I’ve had good luck in that area.

| I have fished a few tournaments at this lake and it can be outstanding. In the spring it is compared to a mini candlewood as it usually takes between 15-20 lbs to win. It is very clear water and at this time of year the bass will be deep. Best to try it on an overcast day and hit all the points and isolated weed beds. There are a ton of rocks and boulders so please use extreme care when navigating. There are spots that go from 30 feet of water up to a foot or two within the matter of 5 yards. Best bet is natural colors and floro line. I have had success with jigs and creature baits and a wacky senko will always catch something. Again use extreme care navigating between the islands. You will know what I mean when you see it. Oh its a hell of alot easier calling it Webster lake. I met a cop up there and the long name is actually on the police cars. He could not pronounce it either so dont feel bad! Hope this helps. |
