ok, so i put my boat in a nice clean place for the winter but no heat.

I failed to put Sta-bil in the fuel.

The question is should I go through the chore of draining all the gas? Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Or

Should I go fill the rest of the tank up with Premium gas and put some Sta-bil in now?

Draining it will be a pain since its a jetboat and the tanks are not removable...

How should i proceed?

befor you really start useing your boat,i would put some additive in to absorb any water..if you didnt store your tank full, there is a good chance of condisation forming

i would also start useing sta-bil every time you put gas in.i found the marine sta-bil works better than the regular sta-bil,for not haveing water problems

i would not use sta bil any more....i use star tron in everything....it is made for e10 gas, stops condensation, stabilizes gas, and helps with carbon buildup. it is all around a better product..i use it in weed wacker, lawn mower, boat, ect. its kinda expensive but worth every penny, especially since they all start up with out any problems and run better than ever.

I have to agree with Dave on the StrarTron. I've been using it in my boat, and all my other lawn equipment and have not had a problem, and everything seems to run better. I've also used a new product that a buddy of mine told me about called Seafoam. Its a cleaner/additive and works wonders. I have a 5hp Leaf blower that was giving me problems. I poured some in, ran it for a few minutes and the problem was gone.

You should also change your water seperation filter. If you do have any water in your gas that should filter it out, but it will only work if it is clean...it can't hurt.

Man, thier site is not working for crap. I think there is an old parts usa in west havent that changed over to advanced.

I use stabil in my boat regularly even if it isnt winter storage. Problem with me is, i dont use the outboard much in the summer.

you can get seafoam from most napa auto parts, seafoam is a good alternative to ring free/ decarbonizers but definitely still use startron
