a lot of time phpbb thinks people with dynamic ips (like aol) are all different guests whenever the ip changes Smile

Russo, you're right, I've also seen on the upside of 25 GoogleBots scouring the site at the same time. So while we have some lurkers, its also possible there are other reasons!

Im pretty sure there is a way to get goolebot to show in the user list. I can find out more inf you would like

there is a mod for phpbb 2.x that will show the bots that are online, but you'll learn to recognize the IPs on the ACP. you can also set up meta tag instructions that tells them to only come back every 2 days etc
