mackenzie's 5/08/08

been going to mackenzie's in wallingford every day or so the past few days on my lunch break and haven't been catching a thing. jlaz has been going every few days in the evening while i'm working and has been getting a good handful of lmb.
thought i would take advantage of the weather today and go before the sun broke out and try some jigs and senkos. one hit on senko and then nothing for awhile. started throwing a jig and catching nothing but a few weeds. ended up popping a jig on the bottem for a minute then decided to reel it in and as i did that i felt my line take off. didn't have to really set the hook and got it into the shore and ended up coming out with a nice size lmb. didn't have my scale on me but it was a good 3lb maybe 3.5lb. took a few pics with my phone to hopfully get up soon. half hour later ended up with another small bass and had to go back to work. not the most consistant place but its something when you have numberous breaks during the day and work close.

It must be great to fish at lunch, the nearest body of water to me is a puddle..
