Hi guys,

Gas down here in SC is $3.45 right now(I'm sure it will go up right after I type this). What is gas back in CT?

There is talk of cancelling some T's down here because of gas $$. Not everyone down here makes big $. My bass boat has a 30 gallon tank. 30 x 3.45=$103.50. Then the truck with it's 35 gallon tank. 35 x 3.45=$120.75

The lakes are so big down here that it is nothing to burn up a whole tank in the bass boat. I have noticed that you don't see guys ripping across the water at 70+ anymore. More of them going 1/2 throttle, like me. Crying or Very sad

paid 3.75 yesterday.
It sucks , when these oil companies are making billions every quarter and the normal consumer gets screwed and can`t afford there other bills.
The price of gas will be the 1 thing that will bring the economy to its knee`s.
Gas prices are a direct relation to inflation.

Yep, I'm at right around $4.10 for super for the subaru. between 50-60 a fillup. I'm very glad that when I moved two years ago I moved to a place close enough that I walk to work every day.

I got gas thursday morning at 5 am and it was 3.91. The same station on the way home at 4:30 was 3.95. Saw 3.99 at two gas stations this morning.

This has to end soon or we are going to be in a heap of sh!t. I'm still paying for last seasons heating oil and don't even want to thnk about next year if things keep going like this.

I thought I had it bad down here... Glad I'm in SC.

I feel bad for the people on fixed incomes. Elderly, disabled. They are going to have to choose between medication, food and staying warm in the winter. I can see next winter home heating oil in CT going to $4.00+ a gallon.

Best thing I ever did was move out of CT. Let me give you a rundown.

Prop tax in CT on my 1987 duplex with .25 acre yard. $2200(my half)
Prop tax in SC for a brand new house with 1.5acre yard. $795.00

Electric bill is $85.00 on average, even with central air on.
Electric bill in CT $135.00+ with no central air.

Home heating oil bill for season this past winter would have been @ $1,500
Gas heat $250.00 for all winter in SC. And when I say Winter we had 1" of slush that was gone the next day.

Gas is .30 cheaper than CT per gallon

My son is on the Deans list at USC, he failed his 1st semester at UCONN.
Tuition at USC, $4,500. Just Tuition at Uconn was @$10,000

Anyway what I'm trying to say is if you can move, DO IT NOW! There are jobs down here that pay comperable to CT.

The fishing isn't bad either...$10.00 for a license. and it runs for a year from when you BOUGHT it, not just the calendar year. Never winterized the boat, I fished pretty much through the winter.

just saw stamford around 4.38 for premium, I filled up at 4.25. I'm in the minority that can and does walk to work tho, so I don't travel all that much. But def. going thru more gas now that the river is fishable.
