My buddy and I left work a little early and hit the river out of Saybrook looking for stripers. I headed to my usual spot near the mouth of the river, but found that the breeze turned from stiff to downright nasty as we got there. Still, we gave it a try casting Houdinis straight downwind for a while until I took a wave over the bow that caught me square in the back of the neck and drenched everything on the front deck and cockpit! Confused Mad
After that I headed upriver in search of some calmer conditions. We were trolling tube & worm rigs when we each hit a nice keeper 32" and 30". That turned out to be it for the day except for a little 14" runt that my buddy picked up just before we got back to the ramp. My buddy's camera was stuck in movie-mode and he didn't notice it,..so the still-pics that I clipped from the mpeg files are pretty low quality,..but here you go: Cool
