Fished a small tournament on besek lake today finished 2nd with a five fish limit for 6.2 pounds. First place was 8.4lbs.
Conditions- temp at start 40 temp at end 60
water temps 60-61 winds north 20 plus and gusty
No beds yet and not too many cruisers either.
Caught our keepers on lizards,small blk/blu jigs and senko.
Most fish off point in grass 6-8 feet.One off dock,one super shallow.
Fished this event with a buddy as my normal fishing aprtner was out of town.Had a good time and cant wait for june on the river!

Congrats on a 2nd place finish in the tourny.
Do you know if anyone caught anything by the steep drop offs near the dam area?
I'm hoping that this nice weather we are supposed to get will drive some of the bass to bed  |

we caught a few dinks down there on a drop shot worm,dont know about the toher baots though.

It's in Middlefield. Nice lake ,used to be much better though.
Lot's of fishing pressure these days. Also a lot of bucket fisherman. |

im bumping this one back up!!!
johnnyskeeters buddy that day was me. the LIZARD KING!!!
it was a good day and we got enough fish to keep the day interesting.
nice little lake but i wasnt expecting big fish since ive heard this place is just tough for biggins. we found enough good ones to put us in 2nd.
all in all a good day. wind was tough but thats what bigger wieghts are for.  |
