Got up in time for the dawn patrol out on the river this morning for a little striper action! Thought that the rain was ending but it stayed constant with even a few heavy periods during the three hours that i stayed. Fished just to the south of Essex Marina where there's a nice hump and dropoff. The action was slower than I'd hoped but I still managed to pick up 4 nice stripers all between 25-30"! No pics because of the rain,..but it was pretty fun and my arms were sore by the time I quit from both the big jerkbaits and the fish-fighting! It's pretty cool to set the hook and then feel a fish strip line from my 8ft flipping stick with 20lb fluoro and a tightly set drag!! Mr. Green Mr. Green

Thats sick! Just south of Essex Marina? I've heard thats a sweet spot. I was thinking of doing some catfishing from Essex docks tonight, maybe I'll bring my spinning rod too and throw a swimbait around... Nice job!!

Yea. If you catch one eel, your gonna catch 40 more it seems like. And if your catching eels, chances are your not gonna get anything with whiskers. Confused
