Conditions were overcast all day with very few showers, and breezy
Air temp was around 70
Water temps were in the mid to high 60's, 68 in most areas
water was slightly algae stained

Pointing dog and I started off fishing structure and docks, and quickly deducted that fish were not relating to either. They were also not interested in chasing a top water bait, spinnerbait, or a buzzbait. We hit the big flat in 4 to 8 foot of water, and boated our first 2 keepers, actually they were more like bait, but they were over 12 inches. We decided to fish some rock with weeds in one area, and caught our next 3 keepers, they weren't much better. So we had our 5 but they were good for about 4.5lbs, we knew we needed to upgrade and in a big way. We hit our third spot, and on his 4th cast, nails a 4lb largemouth on a baby brush hawg. That would be the last keeper we got the entire day. We caught plenty of shorts, about 20 micro bass, a dozen rock bass, a few pickeral, and I got a nice 12 inch walleye. All our keepers and some small bass were caught in 6 to 13 feet of water in or relating to weed beds. Most of our fish were caught on tubes, senko's, brush hogs, and a drop shot. We had 8 boats show up for the fun.

1st place was Greg and his son with 9 something, anchored by a 4-12 largie
2nd place went to Pointing Dog and I with 7-11, I believe
3rd place was in the 6's somehwere
All other boats suffered from the Rat Fest Flu.

Our next T is at Highland on June 28th.

Thanks Jim, we are 5 for 6 with placing in the money this year. 1 win, and 4 second place finishes. We lead the club in points so far. We are having a great year to date, but I don't want to jinx anything.

We have earned it though, we have been fishing hard this year, none have come easy, we have struggled for sure, but we have always seemed to get a good fish or 2 each time out. Except for Beseck Lake, we won't mention that tourney, we placed 7th. Good thing we throw out our worst 2 tourney's per season.
