tral,

Nice job on finding those videos. I was there at the final weigh in. Most everyone was calling him a cheater. I thought he was pretty smart. Pretty cool!

Im glad you guys liked it! It certainly was a thrill for me too. It was one of the most memorable events of my life. Did you know that that tournaemtn still to this day, holds the RECORD for the most outdoor B.A.S.S. weigh-in attendances??? That is via, Craig Mergins at Riverfront Recapture! Very cool.

I was in 5th grade at that tournament. My dad picked me up early from school to take me to the weigh in. I was so excited. That day Jimmy Houston took a picture with me which I know have blown up in a 3x5 4 foot picture in my shop. just last year, when Jimmy was at the Marine USA show in Worcester, I brought that picture for him to sign. I said, "See that wormy litle kid in that picture??.....That was me.." He said "wow......I am one old fart..." That was so important to me and still is...

There is something about these old shows that jsut makes me feel good. As a kid I always dreamed of one day watching an episode and having Bob Cobb or Ray Scott announce my name or having a clip of me fishing.... Now that I know that dream can never be achieved, it still means a lot to me. If it wasnt for this show I wouldnt be a bass fisherman.....

And WHAT A THEME SONG!!!!!!!!!!! THE BEST!!!!!!

Nixon's words are the best... "Oh my gosh...., look at the size of that Bass!!" LOVE IT! Thanks Justin! Plan on quoting that this Sunday!
