Any one else catching a lot of dog fish? I have been fishing the sound since I was 5 and I have never seen so many dog fish. I really hate those bastards.

YUP, there are tons of dogfish this year. More then I have seen in 30 years of fishing...
Try faster moving water if possible...I have been able to stay away from them lately fishing fast rips..
If fishing from shore you have to take the good with the bad.

Hmmm the race is holding DF in fast water..That really sucks...I know many of the normal fluke and Sea Bass spots have been taken over by DF.

Our normal high production fluke areas are covered in DF things like this make me worry what they are doing to the small fluke populations.
Also this has had a direct effect on my targetted fishing areas.
