Something I could never understand either Justin. It's not costing the owner of the shop anything, except future business. He just returns it for credit. Gives you a new one..done. Then you walk around the store and spend more money, a little gratitude for him for hooking you up.

Now, he will most likely never see you again. You will drive to Cabelas or a larger chain store to get service.

As in anything else these days, some people abuse warranty policies and manufacturers tighten up a bit. If legitament he should have honored the warranty.

If I were the store owner I would have handled it differently. I would have offered you an upgrade to a better quality reel at cost, retaining your loyality.
that usally works. Store breaks even, your happy..done

Besides, How much could a $25 reel actually cost him, $10-$15

Cabelas service sucks too!!! Rather give the cash to the small guy anyday.
