Just an FYI, Stibil now has a marine grade gas stabilizer that is supposed to protect your motor from the problems that Ethanol can have on a marine engine.

When I bought my outboard last year, the dealer couldn't emphasize enough how important it is to use some type of gas stabilizer that is made for gas that contains enthenol. He suggested using it every fill up.

here is a link to the product, you should be able to find it at any store that caters to boaters.

They've been making it for a while now, however, even if you use an additive like this, the ethanol can still screw things up...this is straight from the mouth of a Yamaha rep after I argued with him due to emptying my pockets to pay for the ENTIRE fuel system to be replaced. The stuff does work...and so does the Startron product.

If anyone has any other products that might help someone save their motors please post. I have heard a lot of horror stories about ethenol and marine engines. What do you guys recommend?
