Does anyone know if the smallmouth at winni are bedding yet or is it still too early??

I am heading up June 5th. I go every year. I think it's still a bit early. I think two more weeks. The surface water temps are in the low 50's now. When we go in June there are tons of empty beds and tons of beds with fish on them. The water temps are usually 62-68 By the second week in June

Ya i go up every year for memorial day and they are always all on the beds. But with the warm weather i didnt know if they would start early. I hope i wont be late.

Pointing dog and I are going up to squam lake with a group like we did last year. We are heading up to fish the 24th, 25th, 26th this year, ihope we are not too late. I think we will hit it just right if the temps are in the high 50's now, and this weeks cold weather should help us hit it just right. Besides there are so many fish up there that they can't all possibly spawn in the same 2 week period. Like you said there will be empty beds from the early spawners, and ladies still on them. I can't wait to stick some monster smallies...........

What range do the spawn at. ive heard anywhere from 55 to 65. Is this correct?

Yeah, I suppose. Ideally the smallmouth like 57 to 63 degrees. Then the largies move up from 60 to 65 degrees.
