I know the river has good fishing up around the new hartford/barkhamstead area, i was wondering if anyone had any success further down stream in farmington, from the rails to trails crossing down to the grist mill

Where is that like townwise. Lower river near CT river has been great too. Above the unionville and below the unionville brigde Satans Kingdom has been great for me too...

Farmington aight. there is a ball park if you are coming from farmington you pass Wood N Tap on the left than you look for ballpark on the left and there will be access to the river next to it. look in the fast waters have caught alot there along with some smallies. Farmington river has grown on me the past 5 years and i love it. If you want check out the second parking area just past unionville before the flyfishing only zone. behind the mini-golf place good area too. Was going to go today but started raining so might go do some striper fishing in derby again. Goodluck dude..
