I drove up to Old Montreal with my family for Memorial Day weekend. Is it wrong that I ogled every lake and pond that we passed, and everything I saw made me think about fishing?

I don't know what this sculpture is called, but it sure says "fishing" to me:

I spotted these guys fishing the Saint Lawrence River while we were on a sightseeing cruise:

That's awesome, Phil. I too am stricken with this disease. My wife just rolls her eyes and smiles when I say "I'll bet there's bass in there" when we go by puddles, ponds, lakes, or even the reflecting ponds in Washington, D.C.

I got exactly the same reaction from my wife and my kids! What's up with their eyes, anyway? Rolling Eyes

When ever I go out with the girl or friends to a new place I am constantly asking "what lake is that" "whats the name of that river" or "what town are we in cause I'm going to google map that hell out this place". Sadly I hardly ever get back to those places to fish, but it sure is fun to wonder what lurks beneath the surface.

Nice! That sculptor has obviously been doing some ice fishing because those are definitely 5 tip-ups with fish on. It just looks like they need new flags.

i'm the same way......"I bet that pond holds some nice fish! " How about when you see a bass boat in tow ahead on the highway. You just have to pass it to see what kind of boat and where its from. I do the same thing looking for deer sign. Crazy!!! Addiction!!!

I love how there's so many bassy spots in view from the highway, all which prohibit fishing. I think the sickness might be a recessive gene???
