I picked up my cousin yesterday around 4:30 am and striperboy and I went down to have some fun fishing the free tournament on lake housatonic. We caught a ton of small bass and red eyes. Had trouble catching the keepers though. Striperboy picked up three nice lmb early on a fluke and one in the afternoon on a finesse worm. I had a tough time catching a keeper however. One 12 incher on a finesse worm.

Lake Housatonic has been tough for me this year. Everything that produced last year hasn't seemed to work this year. Did you find the fish weren't very aggressive? cmorjoe

Nice job, at least you caught something! Any idea what the winning weight was?

Way to hang in there on a tough day. What did you guys get weight wise for the day versus the winning weight?

I belive the winning weight was a little over 6 pounds for 3 fish limit per person. I think the fish were pretty agressive we simply had troble finding the keepers. First time on that lake so we were fishing primarily for enjoyment. I dont think i would ever fish a tourney for money there though.
