It's been a long time and I almost crapped when I saw $6.50 a dozen. anyone used the berkley fake sandworms. From what I have heard they smell as bad as the real ones. Joe ps I could do without the pinchers the real ones have...OUCH!

I have used the fake worms.First off they work. Not as well as the real thing but i have caught fish on them.I keep a bag of the sandworms ,crabs and grubs in my tackle bag.
The only problem with these is the fact that they smell so bad and leave a worse smell on your fingers and hands. They smell so bad , that the scent of rotting bunker is like frsh air.

I have caught bass, fluke, sea bass, sea robbins and bluefish with a bucktail with sandworm or grub trailer.

I am sure you can piece them up for porgies.
