				| Does anyone have any ideas or recommendations? I don't even begin to know where to start looking for buying such a thing. I know a few people on here have one and just wanted to see what you guys recommend and suggest. I will mostly be fishing lakes and ponds with it because with my stretch of bad luck lately I've been looking into covering more water. Theo nly thing is, this is foreign water to me and I have no clue where to start looking or what to look for.
 Thanks for the help.

				| Check out Hobie.com as they make several, one you can peddle and one you paddle. A little pricey but they make good kayaks! _________________

				| Hi! Saw some at "The Sports Authority" near the Farmington mall.
Also check the Collinsville Canoe and Kayak.
 Probably "Dick's" also.

				| I have the Coleman fastback inflatable kayak and it works well for what I need. It is actually made by sevylor who is a sister company to coleman. Here's a link to the one I have... http://www.sevylor.com/Fastbacktrade-1-person-Kayak-P2040C41.aspx The only difference is mine has the Coleman logo on it and is blue.
I like that it has a splash skirt on the front with big pockets that I store all my tackle in and it is very easy to inflate and deflate with the pump. It is not the fastest thing on the water but it is pretty stable. I actually tried Phil's (PECo) small hard sided kayak on one trip and to tell you the truth I prefer this one for the stability and storage area. The downside is that it's inflatable and when I got mine from Phil I had to do a minor repair to the PVC valve that had a tear in it with a slow leak. The inflatable is protected by a pretty thick cover layer though and I haven't had any problems with hooks as of yet.

				| Hi again!
 Try doing some reasearch.
 Googgle up "Inflatabe Kayaks".
Lots of sites and brands to look at.

				| Hi,
What is your price range and does it have to be a kayak? I've never fished from one and it may be what you're looking for, but if you're unsure you might want to check out craigslist from time to time for a Sevylor Fish Hunter (or such) inflatable raft... You can occasionally get one complete with a trolling motor, anchor, and possibly wooden floors for around $500.

My friend has one for fishing small ponds and absolutely loves it, though he stresses you really need to have the wooden floor for support. If you're handy with wood you could fabricate one yourself, or you might be able to find one online.

Just something to consider if you're looking into getting an inflatable lightweight vessel.

Are you looking for an inflatable tandem kayak? If you're going to be fishing solo most of the time, you might consider a solo boat.

I think a canoe is a better option than a kayak most of the time. Compared to kayaks, they're relatively light and have greater carrying capacity, because they don't have decks.

 You're the P. T. Barnum of CTFishTalk.com! LOL!

Seriously, though, I wish I had more room in my garage.

That's my buddy Ron ! This man has sooo many side things going on yet he always complains he's got no money for a Hobie. Then goes out 5 minutes later and buys a 1000.00 trolling motor!
