Just after 2:00 pm today, I caught two little striped bass just north of the mouth of Wethersfield Cove on the Connecticut River. They were 13 inches and 16 inches long. Here's my first ever striper:

They hit a trolled Yo-Zuri 2-1/2 inch white lipless crankbait. Now I can't wait for striper season to start next Spring. Whoo hoo!

Hey Phil!

In the spring the "BIG COW STRIPERS" will be chasing alewifes and coming into spawn.
If your in your kayak and hook into one of those 30-40 lb. beauties, your in for a "Nantucket Sleigh Ride"!!!!!! Razz

I'll be out fishing for stripers in the Spring for sure, SeaDog1. I'm already looking forward to it.

Hi!

Try Norwich harbor -> Stripers usually hang there all year long!!
