Is it legall to trap these in CT other than private water? Just curious because I couldn't find anything about it on DEP website. I only ask because this past Sat 4/25 there was a guy out at North Farms in wallingford pulling up traps out of the water full 20-30lb snapping turtles.

Not sure about Ct. but i know in Kentucky there is a liscnce for turtle trapping. Also I did some snooping and did not see a law against it.
Also you cant believe how much money it brings in for the shell and turtle meat.
They make glasses and leather from the shell and many different things with the meat.

I am making a point. There are site rules about making any racial remarks. This is coming from the person who gets censored the most on this website.

I don't care what the law says. I'd cast my heaviest jigs straight into the eyes of anyone I see trapping turtles. Then, I'd free the turtles and let them finish my dirty work.
