Been fishing Cwood for the past couple weeks and has been very slow, hit the jumbo yellows a few times but still cant find the bass or trout, anyone else been doin good there??

Welcome fishinboss I know this doesn't awnser ur question but I'm pretty new to all this ice fishing season and I've been wanting to go to cwood this year for the first time ... Would u like to meet up ..( I don't have a auger) Rolling Eyes lol

ive been having the same problem no bass or trout its really tough out there seems like the year of the sunfish and jumbos.

i live right next to candlewood and it's been slow this year all over this area. i want to get onto candlewood within next couple days hopefully mabye even tommroow if theres no school. i'll let you know how it is if i go.

Fished it 3 times early January w/my father in-law around Brookfield. One yellow on the jigging rod, nothing on tip-ups in an area that usually produces nice schools of perch, a few nice smallies and the occassional trout. Looks like a big drawdown this year.

Went out again yesterday afternoon, got into the yellows again but still cant find the smallies or browns, fishtrout24- we might might be hittin cwood sat if you wanna meet up

saturday it is, that was my plan hopeing to try new fairfeild town park area. had great luck with browns and some rainbows there during spring and summer.

i went back to mt tom and got 30 in 12lb atlantic salmon on tipup

hey ft uhm if you want you could give me a call i don't really know whens a good time for you, im free untill 9, my number is 203 885 4346, also if not just let me know were your going to fish it tommorow i;m planning around new fairfield town park area but nott 100% sure and nice salmon lucky to catch a fish like that.
