Weatherbug app says Shelton forecast is10-15mph with gusts up to 30 & flooding expected tonight. No rain until 5pm. Geez...gusts up to 50mph in Lyme...be safe out there everyone. Should be an interesting day with the pressure change.

Lake HOUSATOILET. If it's any consolation, it was also cold and windy at the place you would have much rather gone (except you would've been home sooner & happier.) I probably broke some sort of swearing record today.

Nobody won...we all just spent the day waiting for 3:00 to arrive.

"nobody won...we all just spent the day waiting for 3:00 to arrive."

the best thing I heard all day was when jim said: "we will fish up to that point (jim points to point 50 yards away) and then we will head back to the launch, so I can setup for the weigh in." that was at 2:30ish.

Even though the fishing sucked, we had a good group of fishermen/woman who bared the elements and persevered through awful conditions battling strong winds, cold air and a fast currents. True grit and determination was shown by all.

The wind and cold weather definitely won!!

I had a good time and met some good guys and gals. Wish the weather was better so I could have met everyone but there was not much time for small talk in that wind. I had a great partner and definitely learned a lot from Gary (Zman). Thanks to Jim (Flippy) for taking the time to set this tourney up and thanks for the good group of people that showed up and fished their asses off in that weather.

What a freakin terrible day,the best thing I saw all day was a bunch of woman from yale rowing a big long boat, we started at 8am state had gates open very early for us, we had water temps around 45 degrees, BassAddict and I threw everything, I snagged a carp on a rattle trap, water was racing and winds were blowin HARD, the current looked like it was going the other way, it was so windy,, we ran into Nick, he had just got 1, so we stopped to say HI,,,, IT was TERRIBLE,, We had 7 boats, 14 anglers that only could land 5 fish in 8 hours,,, WHAT,,, Winning weight was,,,,,,,,,,,,2.96,,fo 2 fish LMB,,that was Zman and Dirtydawg, GREAT JOB,, 2nd place and lunker was Greg and BassGetHooked, 1 fish for LMB for 2.18,, NX882 and 2FastCars had 1 fish SMB for 15.8oz,( not pounds),and Nick P and Turtlekiss had 1 SMB for 14.4oz,(not pounds) Its all funny but really its not, IT sucked,, Im sorry guys, and I will promise, I will never pick that lake ever again, But you know whats really funny, we had 2 tournys and we cant even break 5lbs (yet) Laughing
