So I had this brainstorm just an idea, to maybe get together a group of people and have a bass tourney out of a kayak. It will obviously have to be a paper tournament where you weigh fish and write it down then release. I have a few ideas where we can do it where the fishing has been good for the most part. If anyones interested in getting something like this going PM me or reply here.

That's eerie. Very Happy I read the post about Breakneck Pond by metalfish (aka Ian) this morning and thought, "If Ian had joined Derek, Daryl and me at Lake Basile on Sunday, we would have been only one kayak shy of a fishing tournament."

I have no problem with an "honor system" tournament in which another kayaker would take a photo of you with your fish. $20 digital scales are plenty accurate to me.

That's 2! I say we get this going/planned out and get a decent little group together, I've done plenty of tourneys on the "honor system" specifically when I used to fish with a local bass fed. Nation club I used to belong to

Just remember that if this is pay to play tourney, you will have to get all of the required paperwork/approval from the DEP. Why not just go and fish for fun and have a little side bet. The casual approach always seems to work better.
