Gonna hit one or all depending on the action....
Hear Woodmount has been producing lots of blues over last two weeks...
Father in law has caught limit couple days in a row from shore...

Boat should be even better...hopefully...
Anybody else have luck out that way?

Now to find a launch ...heard Devon is closed...

Keep you all posted...

Good luck! I have family over for the next few days and the wife would shoot me if I even tried to sneak out! Rolling Eyes

Was there for an hour a total of about 8 lines out and nothing.
The tide was rushing in along with the waves made it suck from fishing from shore.
Rather then going to the pier we left to stratford.
My buddy found a honey whole for about 20-30 minutes where he caught some shorts and 1 alright blue.
BUT THEN the tide went out and the current was wicked which ruined our fun!

Yes...Woodmont..typo on my part...

We launched from West Haven at sunrise...headed to Woodmont as tide was dead low and nothing going on in New Haven harbor...

Started tolling about.700 ft from shore in cove of Woodmont...saw birds hitting about 100ft from shore.we got a hit about 400 ft out. In the shallows.....6ft...we trolled in a bit more and started catching blues....used yozuri plugs...all in all in the next 3hrs we caught our limits...29 blues ....18-23"....

Was siked to catch my first blue on fly rod.....

All in all good day...and still had plenty of time for.wife and kids...Wink

Thanks for the report. I like to fish this area for blacks from my kayak. You have to be careful in close with a boat. lots of boulders just under surface at different stages of the tide.
