I noticed that there is a handful of state parks closed. I am looking to do some fishing/boating today. As long as its a Lake that isnt a state park or campground I should be okay right? I tried looking on the DEP website and saw campgrounds, state parks, and swimming areas that were open and closed but I couldnt see much.

For instance if I wanted to head to Beseck Lake today, I should be okay right?

A lot of local lakes and launches are still closed, too. I'd call before leaving the house, if I were you.

I was trying to get to Spring Pond yesterday when I hit a roadblock. Then the lightbulb came on. Before starting the long detour around the roadblock, I called the Town of Avon's Recreation and Park Department. It confirmed that Spring Pond was closed.

Incidentally, the entrance to the canoe launch at the Route 4 bridge over the Farmington River in Farmington is taped off with yellow caution tape.

Ahh I see. I am really hoping everything gets cleared up soon. I found the list of open/closed parks in CT. It keeps updating every so often. My assumption is if a state park is open then fishing would be too. Its just tough when there is lakes and launches that arent "state parks". In the meantime I will just have to call DEP on certain areas.
