Hi!

Don't get caught selling the fish as you need a seafood vendors Lic.
Plus the fish has to be sampled, tested for toxins, and inspected by the FDA Exclamation
Fish caught by licensed recreational fisherman can only be used for personal consumption or you can give it away.

I know this for "absolute" as my Dad use to sell fish products and all the fish houses in New Bedford have FDA inspectors on the line when they fillet the fish that come fresh off the commercial boats Exclamation

Ive tried soaking them in milk which works great for getting rid of the super fishiness but a friend who is a cook told me to soak it in ginger ale instead as the carbonation does a better job and the ginger adds a really nice flavor to it.

its not the ginger ale thats takes it away. try making it with ginger in general... ginger and garlic takes any fishy taste away in my opinion....

I've heard that doing them up in the smoker works well, haven't tried it yet but plan on it soon
