Tough day of fishing but still fun I'm sure. I wish I could have fished with Jim but besides the porn movie I also had to go to two soccer games, plant trees with the cub scouts and sell popcorn for the cub scouts. Maybe next time.

Phil, what brand of spinnerbaits are those that are snapping? I'll have to remember not to buy any of them.

I don't know the brand of the one that snapped yesterday, but the one that snapped in Hamburg Cove was a 1/2 ounce Persuader Imaged Blade spinnerbait. I still like the Persuader spinnerbait, though.

When fish bend the spinnerbait and tweak it, we bend them back. EVERY spinnerbait has only so many bends before they break. Thinner wire= more vibration/quicker to break/and suppossedly more fish.

Ive broke a half dozen so far and ive seen john do it once two weeks ago.

Not such a fun t jim, We got lucky a few times. Small school of smallies in 27+fow helped us a little and a 10 minute flipping bite put our 2 biggest largemouth in the boat. We were thinking it was just as tough for big fish for everyone else considering the number of keepers we got but its not often 10lbs wins on highland. Congrats on the 5lb smallie! Saw that fish and almost crapped my pants!
