Hi!

Well the ice is melting but open water fishing won't be any good till we get a few good windy days.

Lakes and ponds need for the wind to mix the cold top and warmer bottom water thouroughly so that the water temp is the same from top to bottom.
This is called "Turn Over".

Once this occurs it will trigger the fish into spawning and feeding mode.

Keep in mind that the wind will push feed down wind where the water is choppy....Not the flat quiet side.......Fish will most always follow where the feed is!

Hi slim,

Yeah! But not enough to turn the lakes and ponds over.
Takes a few days -> Lots of water, top to bottom, needs to get mixed!

When it does -> You'll know -> fish will be hungry! Very Happy
