				| I failed at Spring Pond, using waxworms on a small jig head suspended 2-1/2 feet underneath a bobber. _________________

				| Hi Phil,
Water is still a bit too cold.
Crappies will still be holding out over deeper water 10-20 ft. down or over structure.
If the waters is shallow then they could be anywhere.
As I pointed out to you -> That far corner/eastern shore off the Winchester dam is the hot spot for early spring Crappies.
Also the deep water (6 ft.) in front of the dam at Wood Creek is where the spring Crappies will be.
Crappies will gather in the 10 ft. channel at Dog.
I'm still trying to figure where they gather at Burr

Here's a good guide I dug out of my files that I've found to be very helpful.

				| Any idea how active the crappie bite might be at Kenosia and Mamanasco?
Might hit Kenosia on a canoe with a buddy Sunday and hit them hard in early April last year at the western part of the lake.
