Hi,

Took a ride up to Mill River, Mass. and got my 2012 Mass. non resident fishing lic. at the General Store there.

On the way back to Winsted, I stopped at York Pond, Mass. and fished for 1 1/2 hours.
Caught 2 nice fat Rainbow Trout, 14" each.
Those will be Friday night dinner! Thumbs Up

One thing that really was awful to see was how very very low all the streams and creeks were. -> In fact most where just a trickle Shocked

Stopped at Woodcreek and tried for some Crappies, but got not even a nibble.
Water was below the boat ramp, about 2 ft.
Boat launching is going to be difficult there and at other lakes and ponds.

Lord we need some serious rain Exclamation

Hi,

Yes! It will be nice, but 2 days of rain isn't going to do much to bring lake and pond water levels anywhere up to what they should be.

Tilled up my veggie garden and the earth is so dry, down to 4-5 inches.
In anticipation of a longer drought -> I'm putting in soaker hoses attached to an automatic timer.
With 2 wells, I don't expect to run out of water!
