				Senko..

You guys need to start using the O-ring accesory for them if you haven't already. They sell it at cabelas for only a few dollars. Instead of hooking the bait through the center you hook it through the O-ring. When you set the hook the bait will not rip as it typically does every single time you set with it hooked through the bait.

It saves me a lot of money. |

An oversized pen barrel works just as good and cheaper and you dont need to go far for one |

				Hi Guys,

Came across a Steelhead fishing site.

Saw how they rig Steelhead worms wacky style with orthodontist elastics.

Elastics come in 4 different strengths and can be purchased (local dental supply) 100 to a bag for about $3.00 per.

Used in west coast fast moving rivers -> So they're pretty rugged.

Thought you'd be interested as an alternative to O rings.

ive had great success using an old tube and worm tube from striper fishing, and cutting it up into small 1/8 inch rings. works great as well, been using it for years up in maine. _________________ Strength through Kindness... |

				| I have good luck with both but usually throw a Strike King Ocho worm instead, particularly the blue craw color. Sounds crazy but I think the coffee scent seems to make a difference along with the faceted sides. I honestly think they all work well and for me it comes down to what brand I have in a particular color that day. |

				| i only do what i would consider serious bass fishing late at night. 7" power bait swimtails texas rigged always wins in and around CT so i have more or less given up using other baits at night. In healthy bodies of water where there more and larger fish i put a short light wire leader 16lb 4-9" after the bullet weight and fasten the Gamakatsu right to the swivel. I did this because the bass were wearing down the polymar knots and breaking braid 14-30lb. I initially thought that this would be a fish deterrent, or result in bad hookvsets, however, I have actually had more fish, faster bites, and more successful hook sets. These bodies of water the bass feed almost exclusively on crayfish (nocturnal) and i am guessing that the noise from the hook/sinker/leader is picked up by their lateral line and may be similar to that of the local fauna. |
