				| My son and I hit highland today. Bass bite was a little slow do to a cold front. But the pick's were crazy. We caught them in 6 to 10FT using shallow cranks that just skimmed the weeds. Finally found some bass towards the end of the day pitching docks. I nailed a 22" LMB guesstimated 6 Lbs. Caught on a 5" hollow belly swimbait shad color.

 Water surface temp was 72ºF

We'll be hitting Winchester this friday.

				| That's a nice bass id say it was more likely in the 5 pound range but I don't know. I only say this because a 5.4 pounder I caught a few weeks back was 21-22 inches long. Now my scale is off but everyone thought it was more like a 5er. Nice fishing though. I too nailed a really fat 19 incher yesterday on a paddle tail swimbait. The swimbaits are good this time of year. _________________

				| Definitely a nice fish, probably closer to 5lbs with the empty stomach. If she ate a few sunfish before you caught her, you would have had your 6 pounder with that length of 22". _________________

				| Thanks for the report. Wish I could get out to Highland during the week. So much better to fish there weekdays rather than weekends with the boat traffic. Nice fish! _________________

				| I caught a skinny 22.5 incher in march and her belly was empty. Only weighed in at 5 lb 4 oz.

				| Nothing wrong with that fish, regardless of the weight. How did you have that swimbait rigged? | |

				| Fish was a chunk, Picture stinks! Anyway it weight 5.98LBS on my digital scale(which is a tad shy) and length-girth formula tallied it at 6.28LBS. I'm sticking with 6! Glad my PB's were weighed on a cert scale!!! Tough crowd???
BigEd, Swimbait was rigged on a 4/0 EWG worm hook and had 3 sebile wieghts added. Brand was a no namer I got a DSG.
