cool collection rookie.

When you guys say you fish at night, what time are you talking about and are some months better than others for night fishing? I have always targeted first and last light when fishing.

"Night means OVERNIGHT...the later the better.."

so like 9PM - 5AM? What baits work well? What months are most productive for night fishing?

It all depends- I find theres lulls and high points

7-9 Can be great. can be shitty

9-11 almost always good fishing

11-2 a lull in fishing but still catch um here and there

2-6- all hell breaks loose.

One night on qounni I hit 16 bass from 9 25 to 11. I left after that but Im sure the morning bite would have been very good. The key to winning with night fishing in deeper lake sis shallow flats/points. The key to shallow lakes at night is ANYWHERE. By shallow I mean less then 10 feet and by deep I mean 20+. Those guidelines should put you on fish- DONT FORGET WEEDLINES!

nick thanks for the info. Right now I am boatless, so I am dependent on my to fishing buddies. I plan on getting a small row boat next summer so I can go whenever I want. I would love to fish from 2am - 6am, it must be sick with a full moon. Not to mention no traffic.
