Going to be on vacation near Windsor, VT / Ascutney State Park and looking to fish for a morning. Any suggestions on public access to the river or another location nearby? What species are prevalent? Any suggested baits? Thanks in advanced! From Wisconsin, and well adapted in walleye, bass, pike, trout, etc.

I can't help you with finding a body of water to fish, but I can tell you that you can get your Vermont fishing license online and print it out at home. Good luck!

Im from ct and i fished without problem in vt. i caught small dace nd salmon in a small nearby underpass brook. caught many crawfish 3 inches nd bigger. supposed to get liscence to fish?!?!??!?!?!?!?

Yes, you must buy a fishing license to legally fish in Vermont, unless you're under 15 years of age:
