Went to Highland Lake for the first time this past Monday.
On the water around 5:30am, not sure where to start so I went to the cove at the far end on the west bank.
Fished the weeds and pads with a Jitterbug, which worked nicely. I got the first fish of the day LMB 3.7. 2FOW water was around 70deg.
At 6:30am the first set of water-skiers where making waves and that ended up being the last fish I caught for the day.
I need to go back with someone who is more familiar with this lake. (That's a hint SkeeterJim).. _________________ I admit it, I’m still learning…! One fish at a time. |

Nice start,..lousy end,....That's fishing I guess!
On the plus side, it shouldn't be long now until it gets too cold for the skiers!! _________________ If you're a fisherman,..you gotta fish!!
