what does line rec. refer to?. I you click the link and look at the ordering chart at the bottom. the 4th coloumn references gear ratio, line rec. and weight. What is line rec?

It means line recovery. How much line is reeled in every time you completely turn the spool.

i personally pay more attention to line recovery than gear ratio. if you look at quantum reels there reels state high ratios but their line revcovery is low which may be a good thing if you want to work a lure slower.
