Sept. Wed the 19th. No partner took me up on the offer, so last minute i was joined by the wife for after work fishing in Guilford, for the first time since the beinning of summer (i think). Launched around 4:30pm.

Started messing with the jig on the drop off. I ACTUALY got bit!

Luckily i hooked the 4.08 fish in the middle top lip and not the missing right hand jaw hinge! Gotta go a little easier there people!

I missed a couple other fish on other baits. Other than that, we only caught a couple dinks each and left around 9pm because our fingers were freezing! The water temps were high 60's which is out of my ideal fishing conditions manual Smile

------------------------------------------------

Friday the 21st of Sept. Went to squantz with my buddy Sal who doesnt get out of work until 7pm. Launched at 9pm and was expecting a late night.

We threw crank baits most of the night. Sal tossed a wackey rig while near the beach and on the first cast pulled a smallie out. This was late later in the outting.

I caught a couple nice smallies (one at 2.0Cool and a couple non keeper walleye. One walleye was up VERY shallow and taken on a shallow shad rap after a thought of "maybe they are really up tight?". That was it for up tight bites. I did lose a nice fish that i think was on drugs and decided to flop all over the place and smash its head on the side of the boat Smile We ended up leaving at 3 in the morning turning my day into a 24 hours, minus a 1 hour nap after work. It took a long time to get home with the fog. I had to almost stop because it was to dark to see at all driving along the river on 34 south.

-------------------------------------

Here are some pics from the Naugatuck river up in the Naugatuck area where my buddy lives. Its pretty fun going back to walking river fishing after not doing it for years! The kids came durring vacation week and hlped release fish Smile The hunt, catch and play with crawfish!

----------------------------------------

Heres Paulies fish that i never got around to post. Lilly trip during vacation week. He pulled this fish off the top of the dam!

-----------------------------------------

Heres some more squantz from 9-1-07 with the wife. FROZE!!!

This is most of the fishing ive done minus a bunch of river fishing up in Naugatuck. After taking some 6 weeks off durring the prime summer night fishing time because of being sick, then fishing for a weeks vacation, ive only done a few days here and there. Missing all the prime fishing durring the summer kinda killed my urge to go anymore Sad
