About 3:15 this afternoon checked the underground weather. looked like heavy rain and wind wasn't going to start till after dark. Hooked up the boat off to Bashan. Lake down about a foot, no problem launching. 1st cast hit the water about 4;15. Started out around the first island out from launch. Water temp 69. wind out of NE about 5mph. by 4:45 had 3 lmb's in the boat between 13 & 15 ln and a small snake. . All caught on 7in Tex Rig, Zoom U-Vibe worm (my favorite bait other than DS). fished another 15 min no hits. Wind started picking up with some Lt rain. Moved over to point at north end. picked up 2 more 13 & 14" LMB's and large snake. All on the u-vibe.
Worked down the NE shore got 2 more legals and a short. on the u vibe on outside edge of grass. About 5:45 decided to move back to the island before dark. Wind was really kickin now probably about 15 to 20.Switched to a 3/8 oz. weight and Berkley 10" powerbait worm. Worked around around northern point of Island casting into wind trying to hold boat in place. Got 4 more in about 15 casts all between 13 and 15". 6:15 want to get boat out before dark. No time for pics. not a bad few hours 11 legal bass a few shorts and 2 snakes lots of action
