From the smell of this website it is mostly bassfishermen. So dont be pissed when they dont answer. It is probably cause they have no idea.

"yeah the river was at one time very dirty"

trust me its still very dirty. I wouldn't eat anything out of that river even if I was starving. That river has a ton of industrial plants all through waterbury and naugatuck.

Coho -- You may want to keep an eye on the Connecticut DEP fishing reports. I'm not sure if this affects you, but last week's report (10/10/07) has reported that the flows may be too low in the river to stock Atlantic broodstock salmon. It sounds like they will be put in lakes instead, specifically Beach Pond, Crystal Lake, Mt Tom Pond, Tyler Lake and Squantz Pond.

Check http://www.ct.gov/dep/cwp/view.asp?a=2696&q=322752&depNav_GID=1630 for more info.

Mt.Tom Pond is one of my favorite ice fishing haunts.the only problem is 40 or 3000 other people like it also.It looks like a land mine field during ice fishing season.

The one I was quoting was the previous week -- looks like the rain helped and they changed plans a bit and were able to stock the Nagautuck.
